James & Kelsey: Color & Resilience

We had such a colorful session with James and Kelsey at the Masonic Village gardens in Elizabethtown. You would never know it by looking at these bright photos, but our first attempt was actually cut short by a total downpour. While rain usually feels like a setback, it actually worked to our advantage. We returned a few days later under much better skies to capture even more of their story amidst the incredible layered backgrounds of the gardens.

Garden Layers

The Masonic Village gardens offer an amazing variety of textures, from manicured flower beds to sweeping stone architecture. We focused on capturing the genuine expressions between James and Kelsey, using the vibrant colors of the landscape to frame their connection. The resilience they showed after the rain-out really set the tone for a relaxed and joyful shoot.

Worth the Wait

There is something special about a "take two" session. Because we had already met and braved the rain once before, James and Kelsey were completely comfortable in front of the lens. We explored some of the more scenic layered spots in the park, finding the perfect evening light that made the flowers pop and their smiles even brighter.

"Sometimes a rain-out is just nature's way of giving us a better chance to capture something truly extraordinary."
